After a quiet first half which saw just five shots taken between both sides, the Eagles (6-1-1, 1-0-1 CCAC) got on the board with a 60th minute strike from 30 yards out.
Just ten minutes later, Reget would score the equalizer from the left side of the field. The sophomore is currently the team leader in goals, and has scored in his last three appearances.
Judson had two more chances in the closing minutes, but a pair of saves from TIU keeper
Sean Avila pushed the match into extra time. In the three and a half minutes following, Judson again looked to be on the attack, taking four shots, including two that were saved by Avila. JU's Walter Lopez, who leads the CCAC in goals, found the loose ball in the box in the 94th minute and fired home for the game winner.
Avila finished the day with seven saves, a new season high for the senior. Reget and
Sean Tlapek both had two shots on goal in the match for the Trojans, and were the only players for TIU with a shot on goal all day.
Trinity will return home this weekend, as they host Purdue-Calumet on Saturday, September 27. The match is part of a TIU Athletics triple-header, with Trojan football and women's soccer also taking place on campus. TIU is scheduled to kick off against the Peregrines at 2:00 p.m., following the women's game.
