DEERFIELD, Ill. -- For the second time in as many conference matches, Trinity International just missed out on at least a point, falling to the Purdue-Calumet Peregrines on Saturday afternoon, 1-0.

Sean Avila made five saves, and the TIU back line caught the Peregrines offsides four different times. PUC's J.P. Garza would break through in the 44th minute, however, scoring the lone goal of the match just before halftime.
Purdue-Calumet had chances to make it a two-goal game in the opening minutes of the second half. PUC took five shots in the first 15 minutes after the break, but Avila was able to make one save, and two other shots were blocked by Trojan defenders.
Trinity had their best change to find he equalizer in the closing seconds.
David Hasbani had a shot on goal in the 90th minute that was saved by the Peregrine keeper. The Trojans got a corner kick off in the closing seconds, but were unable to convert.
The Trojans struggled to find a rhythm on the attack, and were outshot 11-4 in the match. Two players, one for each squad, were also booked with yellow cards in the second half.
Trinity will hit the road next week, and look for their first CCAC victory at Trinity Christian on Tuesday, September 30. Kickoff from Palos Heights is set for 4:00 p.m.
