DAVENPORT, Iowa - Sophomore
Alida Knudtson led Trinity International with eight kills, while two Trojans collected double-digit digs on the back line, but the host St. Ambrose Bees secured a straight-set win over TIU on Tuesday night, 25-18, 25-18, 25-17.

The Trojans led early in the first set, following kills from Boelter and
Alida Knudtson at 6-4, but a 5-1 run from the Bees gave the home team the lead. Trinity kept the score close, trailing later in the set 19-16, before the Bees scored six of the final eight points to close out the game.
Three SAU errors and an ace from
Amber Dieringer gave Trinity a 5-2 edge in game two, as the Trojans nursed a narrow lead throughout the first half of the set. Trinity were within striking distance at 19-17 following an SAU error, but again the Bees rallied late, taking six of the next seven points for the 25-18 win.
In the third, St. Ambrose jumped out early, taking an 11-5 lead after scoring four straight points on three kills and a block. The Trojans responded with three straight at 11-8, but the Bees pulled away with a 6-0 run to pad their lead the rest of the way.
Trinity continues the home stretch of the final season on Thursday night, when they travel to Chicago and take on St. Xavier. Tipoff against the Cougars is set for 7:00 p.m.
