CHICAGO, Ill. - Alida Knudtson finished as the team leader in kills Thursday night, but Trinity International struggled as a team on offense, falling in straight sets to the St. Xavier Cougars, 25-12, 25-14, 25-20.

Gabby Miller collected nine digs on the back line to lead Trinity (3-19, 2-15 CCAC), while also picking up three kills.
Suzanne Knudtson finished with 14 assists to go along with seven digs of her own.
After the Trojans briefly held a lead at 4-3 in the opening set, thanks to a block from
Mickayla Staal and
Alida Knudtson, St. Xavier responded with an 11-1 run to go in front 14-5. The Cougars later closed out the game by scoring six of the final seven points to secure the first set.
Game two saw Trinity use a 7-2 run midway through the set to take a three-point lead, highlighted by kills from Miller and
Alida Knudtson, along with three SXU attack errors. The Cougars responded however, with seven straight points and 16 of the next 18 to take a two-set lead in commanding fashion.
In game three, the Trojans were able to keep the home team from putting together a long rally, but were unable to make a run of their own until late in the set. Trailing 22-12, the Trojans reeled off seven straight points, including three kills from
Alida Knudtson, to close the gap to 22-19. A Trojan service error and a pair of SXU kills finished off the match in favor of the Cougars.
The Trojans will compete in their final road game of the season next Tuesday, when they travel to take on the Roosevelt Lakers. Tipoff on November 3 is set for 7:00 p.m.
