Marlou Peters finished with a team-high nine points in her Trinity International debut, but a slow start doomed the Trojans, in a 64-31 loss to the visiting Concordia (Mich.) Cardinals on Friday night.

Arielle Miree got the Trojans on the board, scoring the team's first four points of the year early in the second.
Trinity were out-rebounded in the first half by a 34-17 margin, including 17 offensive boards for Concordia that resulted in 11 second-chance points.
Coming out of the break the Trojans looked to find their rhythm, as Peter's connected on the and-1 layup at the 7:55 mark of the third quarter.
Parris Bryant would pitch in with four third-quarter points, but the Cardinals would out-score TIU in each quarter throughout the night, keeping a comeback attempt out of reach.
Jendayi Campbell recorded a team-leading eight rebounds in her first collegiate game, while Miree came off the bench to contribute four points, six rebounds, and three steals in 32 minutes of work. Donielle Taggert scored seven points to lead the bench for the Trojans.
The Trojans return to Van Dixhorn Arena next Friday, for the start of the 2015 LaQuinta Classic. Trinity will face off against Emmaus Bible (Iowa) on November 6, for a 6:00 p.m. tipoff.
