DEERFIELD, Ill. - Senior
JaToya Woods led Trinity International with 17 points off the bench, as the Trojans picked up their second victory in as many nights in a 67-57 win over Cincinnati Christian on Saturday night.

Parris Bryant also picked up 12 points apiece in the win.
Defensively, the Trojans (2-1) picked up 25 of their 67 points off of 27 Eagle turnovers, and held their opposition to a season-low .290 shooting percentage (18-62).
The Eagles (0-5) came out strong in the first quarter, jumping out to a 7-2 lead with all seven points coming from Brianna Ruffin. Trinity would cut the lead to one with a
Nika Bracun jumper within the last minute of the period, but CCU would lead the first period wire-to-wire.
Trinity would tie the game twice in the second, on an
Arielle Miree free throw and again with Ramsey's layup with 2:19 remaining in the half. TIU briefly moved in front with
Sarina Pitson-Falvo's three-pointer inside of two minutes to play, but both sides would head to the locker room in a 32-32 tie at the break.
The third quarter proved to be the difference in the game, with the TIU defense holding Cincinnati Christian to just seven points in the period. A 10-0 run midway through the third gave Trinity a 44-34 edge at the 2:44 mark of the third, with Bryant fueling the run, scoring six points with two rebounds and a block over a five-minute span.
Cincinnati Christian would rally in the fourth quarter, using a 12-1 run to reclaim the lead with 5:04 left on the clock. A layup-and-1 from Ross pulled the Trojans to within a point with 3:22 remaining, and on the next Eagle possession, Woods swiped the ball and went the other way for a fast-break layup that would put Trinity on top for good, 55-54 with 3:10 to play. TIU would go 8-for-10 from the free throw line over the final two minutes to pull away, eventually rebuilding their double-digit lead.
The Trojans return to Van Dixhorn Arena on Saturday, when they host the Goshen (Ind.) Maple Leafs. Tipoff on November 14 is set for 6:00 p.m.
