WINTER HAVEN, Fla. -- With 11 runs for their opponents over the first two innings, the Trinity International Trojans found themselves in an early hole, ultimately falling to the Purdue-Calumet Peregrines for the second straight day, 14-2, in a 7-inning contest shortened on the ten-run rule.

Purdue-Calumet started out with five runs in the first inning, followed by six more in the 2nd, to take an 11-0 lead. Grotelueschen opened the 4th with a leadoff single, then after moving to second on a balk, advanced to third on an
Adam Gomski infield single. Bruner then drove in Trinity's first run of the day on a sacrifice fly. Two batters later, Jon Grotelueschen doubled to center field, driving home
Jon Debowey to make it an 11-2 score.
The Peregrines added an insurance run in the 5th, followed by two more in the bottom of the 6th to reach the 10-run limit and end the game early.
With his 4th-inning base hit, Gomski extends his hitting streak to six straight games, the longest for any Trojan this year.
Trinity will wrap up their Florida swing tomorrow morning, with a doubleheader with St. Francis (Ind.), beginning at 8:30 a.m. Central.
