WINTER HAVEN, Fla. -- Sophomore
Adam Gomski continued his strong performance at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a pair of singles, but Trinity International managed five hits as a team, in a 14-0 shutout to the nationally-ranked Point Park (Pa.) Pioneers, Friday morning during the team's spring break Florida swing.

Jeremiah Carter struck out five batters over his four innings on the mound, but four walks combined with a pair of fielding errors allowed for some big innings for the Pioneers. PPU scored at least two runs in each inning, although just half of those runs were earned, as the Trojans committed a total of four errors in the field.
The Trojans had chances to rally, but stranded a pair of runners in the 1st, 5th, and 6th innings.
Evan Athanasiou's one-out walk, followed by Gomski's first base hit of the day set the table in the top of the first, but TIU were unable to cash in.
Point Park retired 13 straight Trojans before
Joshua Burgos' single and a
Joshua Beard walk in the fifth put a runner in scoring position with two outs in the 5th. In the 6th, singles from Gomski and
Edward Piotrowski also gave Trinity a chance to rally before both opportunities came up empty.
Burgos finished the day with a hit in his fourth straight game, tying the team's longest hitting streak of the early season.
Colt Foerch's eight-game streak of reaching base safely was snapped, as the freshman finished without a hit or walk.
The Trojans are back at it tomorrow, with a doubleheader against Northwood (Mich.). First pitch from Auburndale, Fla. is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Central / 3:00 p.m. Eastern.
