DEERFIELD, Ill. - With just a few seconds remaining on the clock, the Trinity International Trojans suffered a late goal scored by the host Purdue-Calumet Peregrines, giving the Trojans just their third loss of the season, 2-1 in double-overtime.

Zach Reget gave his team the lead in the 5th minute. Trinity held on to that one goal lead througout the rest of the first half despite the Peregrines (7-1-1, 3-1 CCAC) outshooting TIU 7-4.
Purdue-Calumet again took more chances after the break, finally breaking through in the 81st minute. A shot from inside the box was deflected by a Trojan defender for an own goal, tying the match with less than 10 minutes left, 1-1. In the first overtime period, PUC had a pair of shots, but the Trojans were unable to push the ball forward for a chance on goal. With less than 30 seconds until both teams would earn a draw, PUC's Cristian Garcia took a cross from the left side and fired for the game-winner.
Of the six shots taken by Trinity on the day, Reget led the way with five, including both shots on goal. Goalkeeper

The Trojans return home this Saturday, when they host St. Francis on Homecoming Weekend. The Trojans and Saints will kick off at 11:00 a.m.
