MEQUON, Wisc. - A long shot late in the first half proved to be the difference, as the No. 17 Trinity International Trojans dropped their road opener on Monday, 1-0 to the Concordia (Wisc.) Falcons.
Box Score | Season StatsIn the 36th minute, CUW's Ashley Johnson fired a shot from outside the 18-yard box that found the top left corner of the goal, giving the Falcons the 1-0 edge. Concordia (2-0-1) held possession for most of the first half, outshooting Trinity 8-1 before the halftime break.
The Trojans (1-2-1) held their own in the second half, matching CUW on shots 8-8, but were unable to find the back of the net to tie the match.

Samantha Yasatan, and
Jillian Kolster all led the team with two shots apiece, while
Heather Ortiz fired the Trojans' only shot on goal on the day.
Trinity will take next weekend off prior to their next match, the CCAC opener at Robert Morris. TIU will face off with the Eagles from Morris Field on Saturday, September 19, beginning at 5:30 p.m.
