DEERFIELD, Ill. – JaToya Woods finished with a career-high 28 points, while Basha Ramsey pitched in with 21, but the Trojans were unable to keep up with the fast-paced No. 10 Olivet Nazarene Tigers, falling Saturday afternoon 126-92.

Box Score | Season Stats

The Trojans (7-10, 3-7 CCAC) put up their highest-scoring first period of the year, scoring 25 points to hold even with the nationally-ranked Tigers (16-3, 9-1 CCAC). A layup from Marlou Peters at the 4:26 mark would give Trinity their biggest lead of the day, 17-8. The Trojans would stay in front until a three-pointer from Kayla Krassman edged the Tigers in front 25-23, but Sarina Falvo would tie the game before the end of the period with one of her four field goals on the day.

Trinity and Olivet would swap the lead back and forth five times in the first three minutes of the second quarter, but ONU then used a 19-0 run spanning four minutes to take a 48-30 advantage. Ramsey would work the deficit down to 13 points with a jumper with a minute on the clock, but the Tigers scored the last six points of the period to claim a 58-39 lead at the half.

A free throw from Ramsey late in the third period brought the Trojans to within 16 points, 75-59, but that would be as close as they would get the rest of the way, as Olivet outscored the home team by a 43-28 margin in the fourth period to secure the win.

Four Trojans finished in double figures, as Peters collected 19 points in just 15 minutes of action off the bench, while Falvo posted 10 points along with four assists.
The Trojans hit the road next week, when they match up with the Robert Morris Eagles on Wednesday, January 20. Tipoff from Arlington Heights, Ill. is set for 5:30 p.m.
