ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. – With a nine-point advantage in the second half, Trinity International were unable to hold off the host Robert Morris Eagles, falling 65-62 Wednesday night in CCAC play.
The Trojans (7-11, 3-8 CCAC) held a lead until the final seven minutes of regulation, as Robert Morris (9-10, 4-7 CCAC) closed out the game on a 19-8 run over the last 9:20.

Sarina Falvo led TIU with 15 points, her highest point total in seven games, as four Trojans in all finished with double figures.
Marlou Peters and
Basha Ramsey eached collected 13 points, while
JaToya Woods pitched in with 11 points.
After a back-and-forth opening period that ended with a 12-12 stalemate, Trinity used a quick 5-0 run midway through the second period to claim a 24-19 advantage with 5:02 on the clock. A pair of free throws from Peters gave TIU their largest first-half lead, at 32-25 with just over a minute to play before the break. RMU's Jada Blackwell hit the only three-pointer from either side in the first half to cut the TIU lead to 32-28 at the half.
The Eagles kept the margin close to start the third period, but two free throws converted by Woods at the 4:12 mark put Trinity in front 45-36. RMU closed the third on an 8-4 run to cut the gap to just five points entering the final ten minutes.
Two more from the charity stripe from Woods edged TIU back out by eight points to start the fourth, but scores on three straight Eagle possessions quickly pulled RMU back to within a single point, 54-53 with 7:58 to play. Robert Morris took their first lead of the second half on Kiela Garner's layup at the 5:36 mark, 57-56, and stayed in front the rest of the way.
The Trojans hit the midpoint of their three-game road trip on Saturday, when they travel to face the No. 5 St. Francis Saints. Tipoff in Joliet is set for 5:00 p.m.
