DEERFIELD, Ill. - In front of a Homecoming crowd on Saturday afternoon, Trinity International battled back from a goal behind, finishing with a 2-2 draw with the Trinity Christian Trolls at Schartner Field.

Isabelle Danner scored both goals on the day, leading the Trojans (5-10-1, 4-5-1 CCAC) with three of the team's four shots on goal. After Trinity Christian (8-5-3, 5-3-2 CCAC) took an early lead with a 22nd-minute goal from Jessica Bianchi, the Trojans responded just five minutes later as Danner put the equalizer in the back of the net.
Coming out of the halftime break the Trojans would grab the lead, on Danner's fifth goal of the season in the 47th minute. The Trolls would battle back however, forcing extra time with a goal from Taylor Miller in the 79th minute.
Both sides were unable to generate too much of an attack in the overtime periods, with TCC out-shooting the Trojans 2-1, with no shots on goal.
With the draw and two matches remaining in the regular season, the Trojans sit 8th in the CCAC standings, with the top eight spots earning a berth into the CCAC Tournament. Trinity returns to Schartner Field one final time this season, when they host Calumet St. Joseph on Wednesday, October 26. Kickoff with the Crimson Wave is set for 3:00 p.m.
