Women's Soccer falls to #24 Wolves

DEERFIELD, Ill. - A fourth-minute goal from the visitors proved to be enough, as Trinity International were unable to pull off the upset over No. 24 Cardinal Stritch, falling to the Wolves 2-0 on Saturday afternoon at Schartner Field.

CSU's Jamie Karch provided the offense, scoring both goals, first in the 4th minute, then again to start the second half in the 49th. The Wolves (9-2, 7-0 CCAC) controlled most of the possession on the day, outshooting Trinity (4-8, 3-3 CCAC) by a 20-5 margin.

Freshman goalkeeper Rebecca Wells came on as a substitute in the 13th minute, making her second career appearance; the Springfield, Ohio native finished with a career-high ten saves on the day. Jillian Kolster led the Trojan attack with two shots, and one shot on goal.

Trinity will be back in action on Wednesday afternoon, when they host Roosevelt beginning at 4:00 p.m.
