Quick Notes

• Trinity International makes their home debut this week, when the Trojans host the Clarke (Iowa) Crusaders for a non-conference matchup on Wednesday night. The Trojans then head west to face the Emmaus Bible (Iowa) Eagles on Saturday afternoon.
• Wednesday night's game with Clarke will be available online, at TIUTrojans.com/LIVE
• The Trojans are coming off a 1-1 start to the season, falling to Andrews (Mich.) but defeating East-West (Ill.) at the Grace College Lancer Classic last weekend.
• Senior forward Zach Kirschbaum posted two double-doubles to start the season, with 17 points and 12 rebounds against Andrews (Mich.), and 15 points/12 rebounds against East-West (Ill.).
• Kirschbaum is the team's leading scorer and rebounder, with 16.0 points and 12.0 rebounds per game.
• Henry French (11.5 ppg) and Grant Corsi (11.0 ppg) are both averaging double figures through the first two games of the season, with six players in all averaging eight or more points per game.
• As a team, the Trojans are averaging 91.0 points per game, the 21st-highest average in the NAIA.
• Defensively, Trinity is averaging 6.5 blocks per game, the 2nd-best average in the NAIA. Their 13 total blocks is the third-highest total in the nation.
• Trinity is coming off of their first 20-win season in 17 years, and return four of five starters from a year ago.
• Last season, the Trojans reached the NCCAA National Semifinal, in their first NCCAA Tournament appearance since 1999. TIU finished 4th overall in the eight-team tournament after coming in as the No. 6 seed.
• If the Trojans earn victories over Clarke and Emmaus this week, their 3-1 record would be just the fourth time since 2003-04 that the team has picked up three victories in the first four contests to start a season.

Series History
• Wednesday will be the sixth meeting between Trinity and Clarke since the 2003-04 season, and the fourth over the past four years.
• Trinity holds a 3-2 lead in the series, having won each of the last two contests
• The Crusaders won the only previous matchup inside Van Dixhorn Arena, taking a 92-83 win during the 2010-11 season.
• Trinity and Emmaus Bible met for the first time last season, with the Trojans taking a 109-72 win at home.

Last Time Out vs. Clarke
• Three players finished in double figures, as Trinity survived a late run to defeat the Crusaders, 69-66 on Oct. 31, 2015.
• A three-pointer from Luke Mead gave the Trojans a ten-point lead with seven and a half minutes to play, but the host Crusaders would chip away, cutting the Trojan advantage down to a single point with 1:22 on the clock. A James Glass jumper proved to be the dagger with 34 seconds left, as a desperation shot at the last second would fall short, securing the win for Trinity.
• Junior Grant Corsi led the Trojans with 13 points in his TIU debut, going 6-for-11 from the field while pulling down seven rebounds. Thomas Amrine and Greg Carlyle each posted 12 points, with Amrine going 3-for-5 from three-point range, and Carlyle shooting a perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line.

Last Time Out vs. Emmaus Bible
• Junior forward Henry French became the first player to reach the 20-point mark in a game last season, while six Trojans scored in double-figures overall as Trinity took a 109-72 victory over Emmaus on Nov. 10, 2015 inside Van Dixhorn Arena.
• French picked up 20 points on 9-of-14 shooting on the night, while Grant Corsi and Zach Kirschbaum picked up 18 points apiece. Kirschbaum also recorded the team's first double-double of the year, with 10 rebounds.

Trojans in the Polls
• Trinity International has appeared in the NAIA Division II Coaches Poll 21 times in program history, but not since the 1997-98 campaign.
• Trojans's last ranking came on Jan. 6, 1998, when the Trojans came in at No. 20.
• The highest ranking in program history was during the 1995-96 season, when Trinity was at No. 3 in the Jan. 22, 1996 poll.
• This season, the Trojans placed 4th in the CCAC preseason ratings, with all three programs rated above Trinity earning spots in the NAIA Preseason Coaches Poll.

Up Next
• The Trojans return to Van Dixhorn Arena on Friday and Saturday, November 11-12 for the Trojan Classic.
• Trinity will host the Silver Lake (Wisc.) Lakers on Friday night, followed by a matchup with Waldorf (Iowa) on Saturday.
