DEERFIELD, Ill. - Senior guard
Arielle Miree paced Trinity International with a career-high 26 points, as the Trojans secured their second straight victory, 72-33 over the Calumet St. Joseph Crimson Wave.

In a close game through the opening minutes, Trinity (4-7, 1-5 CCAC) finished out the first period by scoring 11 straight points over just under three minutes, including five from Miree, to take an 18-10 lead through ten minutes of play. After a pair of free throws to open the second quarter for Calumet (0-12, 0-6 CCAC), the Trojans stretched their lead out again with another 11-0 run, and held a 29-12 advantage with 6:08 left to play in the first half.
Both sides would go cold to close out the first half, but nine turnovers committed by the Wave would allow Trinity to keep their double-digit lead, as the Trojans led 35-16 at the halftime break. Miree collected 11 points in the first half, but
Sarina Falvo would lead all scorers with 13 points, after going 7-for-7 from the free throw line.
Ten unanswered points for the Trojans to open the second half would put the game nearly out of reach, 45-16, with Miree scoring another six straight during the run. Trinity's lead would reach 30 points a few moments later, after a layup from Falvo at the 5:36 mark made it a 49-18 margin.
Closing the day on another double-digit run, Trinity would take its largest lead of the day on their final possession, going up by the final score of 72-33 after
Autumeize Gardner's first career score.
Defensively, the Trojans forced a season-high 45 turnovers, resulting in 37 points in the win. Calumet were held to just ten points in the first quarter, then were unable to reach double-digits in a single period again throughout the rest of the game.
Falvo finished with 15 points in the win, while
Marlou Peters collected ten points and seven rebounds.
Basha Ramsey led the Trojans with nine boards, while
Jendayi Campbell collected a team-high five steals.
The Trojans will now take the next seven days to focus on Trinity's finals week, before taking on Governors State on Saturday, December 17. Tipoff from University Park, Ill. is set for 1:00 p.m.
