MILWAUKEE, Wisc. – Trinity International struggled to slow down the 13th-ranked Cardinal Stritch Wolves, despite
JaToya Woods game-high 23 points, as the Trojans fell on the road Saturday, 81-47.
Stritch (22-6, 13-4 CCAC) used their size advantage to outscore Trinity by a 44-26 margin in the paint, and out-rebounded the Trojans, 45-25.

Marlou Peters also finished in double figures, with 12 points on 6-of-11 shooting.
After Peters gave Trinity a lead on the opening bucket, Stritch responded with ten straight points to move in front, and build a lead they would hold the rest of the day. Woods would score all nine remaining points for TIU in the first period, but the Trojans would trail 22-11 and the end of the opening quarter.
Trinity won the fourth quarter, outscoring Stritch 14-10 in the final minutes, with
Rayelle Ross picking up eight points over the final ten minutes. The deficit was too much to overcome however, despite the late run.
The Trojans will step outside of conference play next week, when they head north to face the Maranatha Baptist Sabercats on Tuesday, February 16. Tipoff from Watertown, Wisc. is set for 7:00 p.m.
