VERO BEACH, Fla. – A late rally derailed Trinity International at day two of the Historic Dodgertown Invitational, as the Trojans dropped the rematch with The Apprentice School (Va.), 6-3, before suffering a 10-0 loss to Grace (Ind.) in the second game of the day.

Jon Debowey came home on
Justin VanderNaald's two-out single. Debowey scored again in the 4th inning, giving the Trojans a 3-0 advantage on Jon Grotelueshen's RBI single.
The Shipbuilders responded in the top of the 5th, with a two-run home run to cut the deficit to 3-2. In the top of the 6th, four walks and three hits led to a four-run outburst, giving The Apprentice School their first lead of the day. The Trojans put runners in scoring position in both the 6th and 7th innings, but were unable to capitalize.
In the second game of the day, the Trojan bats went cold, as TIU collected four base hits in a 10-0 loss to the Grace Lancers (6-5). Grace jumped out to a big lead early, scoring five runs in the top of the 1st to take the lead.
Starting pitcher
Adam Gomski settled in, allowing just two hits over the next four innings, but the offense didn't put a runner at second base until the 5th inning, with a pair of singles to lead off the frame. The Trojans were unable to push across a run however, as Grace pulled away in the top of the 6th with another five runs to claim the 10-0 victory.
The Trojans continue with a single game tomorrow night, when they take on Penn State-Brandywine, beginning at 6:00 p.m. CT.
