Box Score VERO BEACH, Fla. – Trinity International overcame an early deficit, but a late rally from Penn State-Brandywine proved to be the difference, as the Lions scored four times in the sixth inning to take a 7-5 decision over the Trojans on Saturday at the Historic Dodgertown Invitational.

Adam Gomski had the Trojans' best day at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI.
Brandywine (1-4) struck first, with three runs in the bottom of the 2nd, before the Trojans (6-5) rallied in the middle innings.

A.J. Bruner in the top of the 4th, A four-run rally in the 5th gave Trinity the late lead, highlighted by Gomski's bases-loaded, one-out single up the middle that put TIU ahead 4-3. Bruner tacked on another run with a sac fly in the next at-bat, adding to the lead.
The Lions took advantage of two walks and two errors in the bottom of the sixth to move back in front. A throwing error allowed two runs to come home, tying the game at 5-5, before the next batter drove in two more runs with a two-out single, giving Brandywine the 7-5 advantage. The Trojans would put the tying run on base in the top of the 7th, but were unable to cash in.
Trinity are back in action on Tuesday afternoon, when they take on Penn State-Beaver in a doubleheader. The first game is set for 3:00 p.m. CT, with game two to follow shortly after.
