Baseball has four named Scholar-Athletes

BANNOCKBURN, Ill. — The TIU baseball program has four student-athletes who have been recognized as a scholar-athlete by either the NAIA and NCCAA as a result of their excellence in the classroom during the 2022-23 season.

The 2022-23 class of softball scholar-athletes are:
Throughout program history, baseball has had 20 NAIA Scholar-Athletes since 1995 and 27 NCCAA Scholar Athletes since 2000.

The NAIA requires student-athletes to have a 3.5 cumulative GPA, as well as have been at their respective institution for at least one academic year as a sophomore or above.

To receive the scholar-athlete title from the NCCAA, a student must have a 3.4 cumulative GPA, be an academic junior or above in the classroom and have attended their respective school for at least one academic year.
