Center fielder
Emily Doomis went a combined 2-for-6 on the day, both doubles, while six other Trojans (9-21, 3-15 CCAC) recorded a base hit in one of the two games. The sophomore drove in the lone run of the day for Trinity, with a double down the left field line that drove in
Tori Livingston in the bottom of the 4th.
Olivet (22-11-1, 10-5-1 CCAC) put up a single run in the 1st and 2nd innings of game one, before freshman pitcher
Taylor Carli settled in by not allowing a base hit for the next two frames. The Tigers added three more runs in the 5th however, before ending the game early on the run rule with a five-run 6th.
Carli threw three shutout innings to start the second game, before a four run outburst from the visitors scored the first runs of the game. Livingston's run in the bottom half of the inning made it a 4-1 game, but the Tigers would pull away, scoring eight unanswered the rest of the way.
The Trojans hit the road for the final time this weekend, when they travel to face 5th-ranked St. Xavier. First pitch in game one of a doubleheader is set for noon.
