DEERFIELD, Ill. - With a season-high 25 shots taken, Trinity International dominated possession in a 3-0 win over Purdue-Northwest, at Schartner Field on Wednesday afternoon.

The Trojans (3-6, 2-1 CCAC) controlled the ball throughout most of the first half, outshooting their opponents 12-2 before the halftime break. It wasn't until the 38th minute however, until Trinity finally broke through, as
Layla Zahniser took a pass inside the box from
Kylie Bowman and scored her first goal of the season.
Brianna Bernholdt doubled the TIU advantage early in the second half, scoring her second goal of the year just six minutes into the half.
Makena Walker was credited with the assist, her first career point as a Trojan. In the 74th minute,
Michele Streekstra put away her first goal of 2016 and the fourth of her career, on a long run from the right that finished in the back of the net.

Surina Lewandowski recorded her second straight shutout, and third clean sheet of the season. The Palatine, Ill. native how has 180 consecutive minutes without allowing a goal.
Trinity will go for their third straight win this Saturday night, when they travel to St. Francis. Kickoff from Joliet, Ill. is set for 5:00 p.m.
