Becca Kowalczuk also put her name in the record books, matching the program record with six service aces on the night.

Kowalczuk dealt out all six aces in the first set, as part of an 18-point run that saw Trinity (7-15) jump out to a 19-1 lead. The Trojans set a new team record as well, as the four points allowed in the opening set is the lowest in the current rally scoring format (2008-Present).
Trinity used a similar run in game two, going on a 19-3 run highlighted by two aces from
Alida Knudtson, and kills from five different Trojans.
Ashlyn Spay would close out the set with one of her three kills on the night at 25-7, giving TIU a two-set lead.
Silver Lake (3-16) played tougher in game three, tying the match at 7-7 with a kill and TIU attacking error. Trinity would score seven of the next nine, moving back in front 14-9 with kills from
Lexie Voss and
Gabby Miller. A 10-2 run to close out the set would end the match as Knudtson's kill at 25-15 gave Trinity their seventh win of the season.
Miller led the Trojans with nine kills on the night, hitting for a team-high .533 average.
Piper Thompson collected 19 assists, while the back line was anchored by Spay and
Lindsay Melvin, with five digs apiece.
The Trojans will rest up before their next match, six nights from now, when they host the Judson Eagles on Tuesday, October 4. First serve from Van Dixhorn Arena is set for 7:00 p.m.
