Box Score | Season Stats
The Trojans (6-12) used a 20-point third period to build their lead, after holding a four-point advantage at the halftime break. A key stretch came over the final three minutes of the third quarter, when Tashyra Burrough and Ross would hit back-to-back three-pointers to start a 12-0 run to close the period and give Trinity a 49-33 lead going into the fourth.
Lincoln Christian (6-5) would take an early first-quarter lead, but
Basha Ramsey's bucket at the 4:52 mark would put Trinity on top 7-6, and the Red Lions would be unable to re-take the lead the rest of the night. Ramsey finished with 12 points in the win, as one of two Trojans to come off the bench and score double figures, along with Burroughs who posted 13 points. Overall, the Trojans' second unit proved to be the difference, as Trinity's bench outscored their starters as TIU lead the Red Lions 36-1 in points off the bench.
Trinity returns to Van Dixhorn Arena on Wednesday night, when they step back into CCAC play and host Robert Morris beginning at 5:30 p.m.
