Brookelyn Robertson gave Trinity a narrow lead with their first scores of the game within the opening 90 seconds, before a 22-0 run spanning six minutes of the first quarter gave SXU a 26-5 advantage.
Trailing 58-16 at the half, Trinity battled back, outscoring the Cougars 48-36 in the second half.
Tashyra Burrough led the charge, scoring eight of her twelve points in the second half.

Rayelle Ross dealt out four assists in 20 minutes of action.
