The Trojans were in control of the game from the opening tip, holding as much as an 11 point lead in the opening frame. Williams tallied 16 of his game high 24 points in the first 20 minutes.Â
The second half saw much of the same from TIU, with a dominant performance through the whole half. The Trojans found themselves with a 25 point lead with six minutes to go in the half after a layup from Williams. Life Pacific added a few baskets late in the half to cut the deficit to 21 but the Trojans went on to take the victory 91-72.
"We were much more like ourselves tonight, as our guys responded to getting bullied yesterday," said Head Coach
Boomer Roberts. "We were the aggressor, and we played with an edge. We forced 21 turnovers and held them to 15 points below their season average."
"O'Shae had a great weekend, and Greg and Jeremy really guarded well and made big plays," added Roberts. "Rick and the rest of our bigs gave us a much needed boost in the paint and on the glass."
The Trojans return home next Wednesday when they host CCAC rival Judson University at 7 pm.
