Basha Ramsey finished with double figures in their final home game, but Trinity International were unable to keep pace with the 16th-ranked Cardinal Stritch Wolves on Saturday afternoon inside Van Dixhorn Arena.

The visiting Wolves (22-4, 16-2 CCAC) jumped out to a 15-2 lead in the opening minutes, before
Tashyra Burrough and
Nika Bracun combined to respond with eight of the final ten points of hte first quarter, resulting in a 19-12 advantage for the visitors. Cardinal Stritch expanded their lead with nine straight points to open the second period, and Trinity went into the break trailing 36-21 as the Trojans (7-20, 2-17 CCAC) struggled to keep their momentum throughout the quarter.
As a team the Trojans started to find their shot in the second half, going 11-for-23 (47.8%) after the break compared to 39.2% in the first half. Trinity opened the third quarter with six straight, including a three-pointer from Ross to cut the deficit to 36-27 at the 8:05 mark. That nine-point separation would be as close as TIU would get as Cardinal Stritch later used an 8-0 run to go ahead by a 52-33 margin with 1:43 left in the third.Â
Ross led the way with eight points in the second half, while
Sarina Falvo, Ramsey, and Miree all had six points each. Bracun, senior Marlou Peters, and freshman
Brookelyn Robertson each recorded five rebounds on the day.
The Trojans hit the road for their final two contests, beginning on Tuesday, February 14 with a trip to Maranatha Baptist (Wisc.). Tipoff from Watertown, Wisc. is set for 5:00 p.m.
