Rayelle Ross and
Sarina Falvo would lead Trinity International with 12 points apiece, but the Trojans struggled to control the boards Saturday night, falling to the Roosevelt Lakers 72-49 inside Van Dixhorn Arena.

The Trojans (7-18, 2-15 CCAC) were out-rebounded 55-27 by the visitors, including allowing 19 offensive rebounds that allowed for 11 second-chance points. Trinity would take a lead in the opening possessions on Ross' first bucket of the day at the 9:07 mark, but a quick 7-0 run for the Lakers (13-14, 7-10 CCAC) midway through the period would give the visitors the advantage, 13-8.
Trinity's offense went cold in the second quarter, as the team didn't record their first field goal until under three minutes left in the half. Roosevelt would build up a 14-point advantage before Ross and
Basha Ramsey would close the gap to 33-23 at halftime. Falvo led the Trojans with 12 points at the break.
Roosevelt opened the third quarter on a 9-2 run, extending their lead to 42-25 at the 7:36 mark. The visitors would take their largest lead of the night near the end of the third, after a pair of free throws made it a 60-36 score.
Marlou Peters led the Trojans with six rebounds on the night, while Ramsey picked up a team-high three steals.
The Trojans are back in action Wednesday night, when they visit the St. Ambrose Bees. Tipoff from Davenport, Iowa is set for 5:30 p.m.
