DAVENPORT, Iowa - A slow start in both halves proved to be too much for Trinity International to overcome Wednesday night, as the Trojans fell on the road to the St. Ambrose Bees, 69-56.

The Bees (10-16, 5-12 CCAC) jumped out to an 11-2 lead over the game's opening three and a half minutes as Trinity (7-19, 2-16 CCAC) missed five of their first six field goal attempts from the floor. The Trojans cut the lead to five on
Basha Ramsey's jumper midway through the period, but seven unanswered points from the home team would lead to a 22-11 advantage at the end of the quarter.
Slightly outscoring St. Ambrose in the second period, Trinity closed the gap to 34-24 at the break.
Sarina Falvo led the team with seven poitns, going 3-for-4 from the field with a three-pointer. The Bees would start to pull away in the third however, opening on a 16-4 run over six and a half minutes. Trinity then responded with eight straight, cutting the lead down to 50-34 on
Arielle Miree's score at the 1:44 mark.
The Trojans finished the night by scoring the game's final 11 points, but run out of time before pulling even. Freshman Morgayne Perry scored nine points during the run, finishing with a career-high 11 points to match Falvo for the team lead.
Trinity returns home this Saturday, for the final home game of the regular season. The Trojans will play host to #16 Cardinal Stritch on Senior Day, February 11, beginning at 1:00 p.m.
