HAMMOND, Ind. - Down by four runs early, Trinity International rallied for a come-from-behind win in the first of two games on Tuesday afternoon, splitting a CCAC doubleheader with Purdue-Northwest with a 7-6 extra-inning victory in game one, and a 6-0 defeat in game two.

Trailing 6-2 at the end of four innings, Trinity (11-17, 7-7 CCAC) rallied with
Sara Grygus' RBI single in the top of the 5th, and a three-run 6th inning that included a sacrifice fly from Grygus, scoring
Jessica Vroman to tied the game at 6-6.
Purdue-Northwest (17-16-1, 7-5 CCAC) had a chance for the walk-off win, drawing back-to-back walks with one out in the bottom of the 7th.
Taylor Carli, coming on in relief in the 5th would escape with two quick outs to force extra innings.Â
Jamie Stanton started the top of the 8th by reaching on an error, then moved to second on a groundout and third on a wild pitch.
Alyssa Doomis drove in the winning run on a single to center, before Carli retired the side in order to secure her sixth win of the season.
Payton Carli finished with a 4-for-5 performance in the first game, as the Trojans' 2-3-4 hitters (

In the second game of the day, Trinity struggled to put together a rally, as Purdue-Northwest pitcher Caroline Brown held her no-hit bid into the 4th inning before
Alyssa Doomis broke it up with a leadoff single.Â
