BOURBONNAIS, Ill. - Trinity International struggled with a tough day at the plate, falling in both games of Friday's doubleheader at Olivet Nazarene, 8-0 in game one, and 2-1 in game two.

The Trojans (11-23, 7-13 CCAC) mustered just three base hits on the day, as
Sara Grygus and
Taylor Carli each recorded singles in the first game of the day, while
Payton Carli's single was the team's only hit in game two.
Trinity took the lead with the first run of game two, as
Tenley Bozzi led the top of the 3rd off by reaching base on an error and moving to second on a sacrifice bunt.
Payton Carli then singled to move her teammate to third, and when Carli stole second, Bozzi would come home on a bad throw by the Olivet catcher.
The Tigers (23-9, 14-4 CCAC) would take the lead in the bottom of the 5th, with a two-out, two-RBI double to right center, after a single and a hit batter put the go-ahead run on base. Trinity would be retired in order in the 6th and 7th to close out the day.
Taylor Carli would pitch all six innings in game two, allowing just four hits on the day while striking out two.
The Trojans will now prepare for Saturday's doubleheader with St. Xavier, which has been moved to the SXU campus due to poor field conditions at TIU. First pitch from Chicago is set for 12:00 p.m.
