DEERFIELD, Ill. - It was a cold and windy day on Schartner Field as the TIU Women's Soccer team battled to a scoreless draw in a hard fought CCAC matchup with St. Xavier on Tuesday afternoon.

The Trojans had the majority of the possession all game long, outshooting the Cougars 20-5 on the afternoon.

After a scoreless opening frame the Trojans came out of the gates quickly in the second half, but we're unable to find the back of the net despite registering multiple shots in the opening minutes.

As the game shifted to overtime both teams had their opportunities, but could not seem to break the scoreless tie. The Trojans would hit the crossbar in the second overtime, and send a shot just high in the dying moments, coming up just short of their eighth win of the season.

Rebecca Wells picked up her sixth shutout of the year, posting one save in the tie.

The Trojans will look to bounce back this weekend when they travel to Palos Heights to take on #18 Trinity Christian College at 12:00 PM.
