PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. - The TIU Men's Soccer team came up short of a second CCAC win,, suffering a 1-0 defeat to Trinity Christian College on Saturday afternoon.

With the inaugural Trinity Shield on the line the Trolls and Trojans battled throughout the opening half hour of the match.

With both sides getting their opportunities on frame the Trolls found the back of the net first in the 30th minute.

In the second half both team had their opportunities, including 8 Trojan shots, but the TCC GK was up to the task, closing the door and holding the Trojans scoreless.

Senior GK Aaron Gerdes got the start in net for TIU and made a pair of saves on the afternoon.

The Trojans will look to bounce back on next Tuesday when they host Robert Morris University on Senior Night.
