DEERFIELD, Ill. - For the second time this season the TIU Men's Soccer team has seen a CCAC match end in a tie, this time earning a point after a 3-3 draw with Roosevelt University on Wednesday afternoon.

The Lakers got out ot an early lead in the first half, capitalizing on both of their scoring chances in the first 20 minutes to take a 2-0 lead.

Despite trailing by a pair of goals early the Trojans would not go down without a fight, storming back to score two goals in under a minute. Nate Michaelis and Josiah Joseph each found the back of the net to even the match before half.

In the 57th minute the Trojans took their first lead of the game after Cory Schleifer scored his first career goal to put TIU up 3-2. The Lakers quickly responded to even the match just 5 minutes after the Schleifer goal.

After neither side was able to find the back of the net in the remainder of the first half the two teams played 20 minutes of overtime but no goals were scored.

The Trojans will look for their second CCAC win of the season this weekend when they travel to Joliet to take in the University of St. Francis.
