DEERFIELD, Ill. - It was a dominating performance for the TIU Volleyball program, sweeping Robert Morris University 3-0 inside the Van Dixhorn Arena on Thursday evening.
The Trojans used a fast start, and relentless offense to take an earl 14-1 lead in the first set that would set the tone for the rest of the match. After closing out the opening set 25-18, the Trojans picked up right where they left off in the second set and third sets, cruising to 25-18 wins in the final two games.
Brianna Torres finished the night as the top offensive performer for TIU, collecting a team high 10 kills and 11 digs. Playing in her final match inside the Van Dixhorn Arena,
Katelyn Sommers once again eclipsed the 30 assist mark, finishing her final home match with another solid performance.

Amber Dieringer are one of the main reasons this TIU Volleyball squad surpassed the 20 win mark, and helped lead the Trojans to their first CCAC Tournament appearance since 2011.
The Trojans will turn their attention to postseason play as they will be the #5 seed in the upcoming CCACÂ Tournament and will take on Cardinal Stritch University next Tuesday.
