BOURBONNIAS, Ill. - A double-double from
Jamal Bailey was not enough to push the Trojans to another CCAC victory on Saturday, as the Trojans suffered a 99-92 loss to ONU inside Mchie Arena.
The opening half of the game saw the Trojans shot a strong 58% from the field, knocking down 17 field goals in the first 20 minutes. Despite finding success offensively the Trojans struggled on the defensive end, eventually trailing 48-43 going into the halftime break.
A strong second half from Bailey and
Jeremy Carlyle helped pull the Trojans right back into the game as the guard duo each tallied 14 points a piece in the final 20 minutes.With the Trojans connecting on 15 field goals in the second half the Trojans struggled on the glass, eventually getting out rebounded 35-22, the difference in the game.
The Trojans will look to snap a two game losing streak when they host Lincoln Christian University on Tuesday evening.
