SOUTH BEND, Ind. - It was a slow shooting performance for the TIU Men's Basketball team, scoring just 46 points in a 65-46 loss to Holy Cross College, their lowest point total of the season.
The Trojans and Saints both had a tough time scoring points in the opening half, with neither side scoring more than 32 points, and the Trojans find themselves in a 32-28 hole at the break.
In the final 20 minutes of the game the Trojans saw just 7 field goals find the bottom of the twine. The Trojans shot 7-22 from the field while going just 2-14 from long range in a tough shooting performance.
Jeremy Carlyle led the way for the Trojans, finishing the game with 14 points, but the strong effort from the Senior was not enough to bring the Trojans back into the game, eventually suffering a 65-46 loss to HCC.
The Trojans will hit the road next weekend for their final CCACÂ game before the holiday as they take on Olivet Nazarene University next Saturday afternoon.
