SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Looking to snap a three game losing streak the TIU Women's Basketball team suffered a hard fought loss to Holy Cross, dropping the road matchup with the Saints 69-50 on Saturday afternoon.
The Saints opened the game fast and never looked back. A 24 point opening quarter of the game set the tone for the game and the Trojans struggled to get themselves back.
After both teams scored 12 points a piece in the second quarter the Trojans looked to bounce back in the final 20 minutes.
Krystal Walker led the way for TIU with 11 points, but her strong second half was not enough to get the Trojans the victory, eventually suffering a 69-50 loss to HCC.
Trojans will look to bounce back next weekend when they travel to Bourbonnais, Illinois to take on Olivet Nazarene University.
