ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. - It was a clean sweep for the TIU Women's Volleyball team on the opening day of the Eagle Invite, winning all six sets they played which led to 3-0 victories over Saint Mary of the Woods College, as well as Lincoln College (Ill.).
The Lady Trojans put forth a solid effort in the opening match of the day, dominating from the opening whistle. Freshman

Madeline Decker both put forth solid efforts in the Trojans first victory, each tallying 12 kills on the afternoon.
In their second match of the day once again TIU took the early lead and never looked back. After taking the opening two sets rather easily the Lynx fought hard to try anf force the match into a fourth set but TIU shut the door and won their sixth consecutive set to finish the day 2-0.
Katelyn Sommers finished the match with a double-double after registering 34 assists and 11 digs.
The Trojans will look to continue their winning streak tomorrow when they take on Graceland University and Ave Maria University to close out the invite.
