ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. - The TIU Volleyball team continued their strong early season play, crusing to two more victories today after wins over Ave Maria University as well as Graceland University.

The Trojans opened the day up with a matchup against Graceland University and after suffering their first set loss of the weekend, battled back with three straight dominating sets to win the match.

Madeline Decker and Brianna Torres once again led the Trojans, each finishing with a double-double, finishing with double digit kills and digs.

In their second match of the day the Trojans picked up right where they left off, cruising to yet another three set victory.

TIU would not allow more than 18 points in any of the three sets, putting together one of their best defesnvie efforts of the season.

Torres capped off the weekend with another double-double, tallying 15 kills and 14 digs.

"Our defense was outstanding today!," said Head Coach Luke Ward. "We were able to turn great defense into quick offense and we found a good rythm as a team." "Our bench also did an amazing job keeping us in it the entire day. we're excited to keep working and head to Florida next week!."

The Lady Trojans will make their way down to Lake Wales, Florida next week for a Labor Day tournament hosted by Warner University.
