CHICAGO, Ill. - Looking for their second CCAC win of the season the TIU Women's Basketball team struggled to find their groove offensively in a 59-48 loss to Roosevelt University on Saturday afternoon.
Three Trojans finished the game in double figures with both
Krystal Walker and
Alina Jahnke scoring 11 points a piece, while
Bridgette Smith led TIU in scoring for the third consecutive game, tallying 14 points.
After trailing 29-23 at the halftime break the Trojans used a strong second half, scoring a game high 18 points to get themselves within three points heading into the final quarter.
Trailing 44-41 the Trojans shot went cold in the final 10 minutes, scoring just 7 points while Roosevelt continued their balance performance to hand TIU their fourth straight loss.
TIU will look to bounce back on Wednesday when they host Cardinal Stritch University inside the Van Dixhorn Arena at 5:30 PM.
