DAVENPORT, Iowa - Looking for their first win of 2019 the TIU Men's Basketball team could not rally back against St. Ambrose University on Saturday, falling 83-69 on the road.
Greg Carlyle led the way offensively for TIU on Saturday, finishng with a team high 18 points, while his brother
Jeremy Carlyle added 15 points of his own to round out the Trojans top performers.
TIU opened the game shooting 38% from the field while only going 4-17 from three point range, eventually trailing 48-33 at the halftime break.
The Trojans played a much better second half defensively, but their cold shooting continued in the final 20 minutes of play. TIU would connecting on just 12 field goals in the second half with G. Carlyle scoring 13 of his 18 points in the final frame.
The Trojans will look for their first win of 2019 when they host Governors State on Wednesday January 9th.
