Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Offense comes alive in second half in 4-1 win over Saint Francis

BANNOCKBURN, ILL.--- The Trinity International University women's soccer team took on Saint Francis University Fighting Saints early on Saturday afternoon at home on Schartner Field. Coming off of a 1-0 loss to Holy Cross University, the Trojans were successful in getting back on the winning side of conference play with a 4-1 win. 

TIU struggled to get on the board during the beginning of the first half with the Fighting Saints scoring first in the 27th minute by Brittany Cook. The Trojans took 5 shots over the first half of the game with sophomore Kailynd Tubb finding the back of the net in the 33rd minute of play on an assist from sophomore Fatima Bustamante 

TIU came out of halftime strong with their defense holding SFU and not allowing anymore goals for the remainder of the game. The Trojans offense continued to keep the pressure high and saw more success on the Fighting Saints side in the 53rd minute with an unassisted goal from Junior Lauren Henn.

Minutes later, TIU would find the back of the net for the third time with a goal from outside midfielder Shayne Busick. Junior Trojan Cameron Hunter would put in the last goal of the game off an assist from freshman Emilie Henderson

The Trojans return to action on Tuesday, October 22 as they travel to take on Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbannais. Kickoff is set for 5:00pm.
