UNIVERSITY PAK, Ill. --- The Trinity International University women's basketball team took on the Governors State Jaguars on Saturday afternoon in Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) action. Coming off an upset win over #25 Indiana Northwest at home on Wednesday night, the Trojans looked to extend their winning streak to three games.
TIU struggled to shoot the basketball during the game as GSU held the Trojans to just 27% from the field, unable to convert a three-point basket during the game, while the Jaguars shot 34% from the floor. GSU also took advantage of second point scoring opportunities as they outscored TIU 13-2 off missed shots.Â
Three Trojans ended the day in double-digit scoring figures, led by Carly Scheblo's 13 points, while Krystal Walker scored 11, and Alina Jahkne totaled ten. Kassandra Ybarra grabbed 11 rebounds, eight coming on defense.
TIU returns to action at home on Wednesday, November 20 as the Roosevelt Lakers visit Van Dixhorn Arena in CCAC play. Tipoff is scheduled for 5:30 PM.
