SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Looking to add another CCAC win to their season total the TIU Women's Basketball team came up just short of finding the win column, suffering a hard fought 67-61 loss to the Titans on Monday evening.

Alina Jahnke played arguably her best game of the season for TIU, registering yet another double-double after racking up 15 point and 11 boards. Bridgette Smith continued her strong second half of the season, scoring 15 points off the bench for TIU.

The Trojans opened the game strongly, taking an early advantage entering the halftime break. Despite trailing 36-28 the Titans continued to fight back, holding the Trojans to just 9 points in the third quarter.

Strong play the remainder of the game helped propel the Titans to a come from behind win late over the Trojans.

TIU looks to bounce back on Wednesday when they host CCAC rival Judson inside the Van Dixhorn Arena at 5:30 PM.
