DEERFIELD, Ill. - Looking to snap a four game losing streak the TIU Women's Basketball team welcomed conference rivals Judson University to the Van Dixhorn Arena, but fell short in a 70-52 loss on Wednesday evening.
Bridgette Smith once again was the top offensive player for the Trojans, finishing the game with a team high 17 points while
Krystal Walker chipped in 10 points of her own.
It was a pretty even game throughout the opening half, with both sides unable to grab ahold of the game.
With the Eagles leading 32-27 after the halftime break the Trojans continued to press offensively but cold shooting down the stretch plagued TIU, only tallying 25 points in the final 20 minutes. JU would close out the victory over TIU, defeating the Trojans 70-52.
TIU will look to bounce back this weekend when they travel to Arlington Heights to take on Robert Morris University at 1 PM.
