ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. - Looking for a bounce back win the TIU Women's Basketball team came up short vs. Robert Morris University on Saturday afternoon, suffering a 74-52 loss to the Eagles.
Bridgette Smith once again led the Trojans in scoring, tallying 10 points off the bench, while
Hunter Noa added 9 points of her own to round out the Trojans leading scorers.
The Trojans got out to a hot start in the opening quarter, leading the Trojans 15-10 after a solid opening 10 minutes. Despite leading heading into the second frame the Trojans shot went cold, scoring just 7 points to the Eagles 22. TIU headed into the halftime break trailing 32-22.
The Eagles continued their strong offensive play in the second half, scoring 26 points in the third quarter to seal a win over the Trojans.
TIU looks to get back in the iwn column on Wednesday when they return home to take on Holy Cross College on Wednesday evening.
