ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. - In a battle of two CCAC rivals the TIU Men's Basketball team came up short on the road, suffering a 79-71 loss to Robert Morris University on Saturday afternoon.
Brandon Lawani once again led the Trojans in scoring, finishing the afternoon with a game high 19 points.
Jeremy Carlyle chipped in 18 points of his own while
Jamal Bailey added 15 points off the bench.
Rebounding was the difference on Saturday afternoon, as the Trojans got out rebounded 47-27, giving the Eagles the heavy advantage in the paint.
After a slow first half saw TIU down 47-28 the Trojans offense picked up in the second frame, but the early deficit was too much for the Trojans to overcome, eventually falling 79-71 to the Eagles.
The Trojans return home for their final two regular season games of the season, as they host Holy Cross College on Wednesday evening.Â
