JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Looking to cap off Spring Break on a high note the TIU baseball team took two of three games over the weekend, defeating Trinity Baptist College 6-4 on Friday evening, and 7-2 on Saturday afternoon.
The Trojans opened the weekend series strongly, grabbing a 6-4 win in the Friday night series opener. 
Matt Pierson and 
Matt Latimer each had multi-hit performances, while Latimer added a pair of RBI's to lead the Trojans.
Freshman 
Dominick Olech was solid on the mound for TIU, throwing 6 solid innings, allowing just three runs before 
Jalen Austin took the mound to close out the game and earn his first career save.
After dropping game two to the Eagles 6-4 the Trojans battled back in the rubber game of the series, as Junior 
Skyler Jankowski toss a complete game to give the Trojans the series win.
Multi-hit performances from 
Lance Louchheim and Rafael Matos gave the Trojans all the offense they needed to close out the win.
The Trojans will enjoy a few days off before jumping into CCAC play on Wednesday when they travel to take on Roosevelt University at 3:00 PM.
