Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Lady Trojans shutout Roosevelt, 4-0

CHICAGO, Ill. --- The Trinity International University women's soccer team took on the Roosevelt University Lakers on a breezy Tuesday afternoon at the Keating Center on the south side of downtown Chicago. After opening conference play over the weekend with a tough three goal loss to St. Ambrose, the Trojans (3-4) responded with a well-played team game in a 4-0 shutout of the Lakers.

Lauren Henn got the action started for TIU, scoring in the 23rd minute off a pass from Makena Walker. Just two minutes later, Walker herself found the back of the net after being assisted by Kaylee Wallentine to put the Trojans up 2-0 as the two teams hit halftime.

It would be 40 minutes before the next score, but it was Cameron Hunter off a pass from Madison Martinez in the 80th minute that put the Trojans up 3-0. Just two minutes later, Hannah Fuchs would add the final exclamation point on a stellar team performance after she found the net on an assist from Hunter.

The Trojans return to action on Saturday, September 28 as they take on the Crimson Wave of Calumet College of St. Joseph in Whiting, Indiana. Kickoff is set for 5:30 PM.
